Directly started motors draw 10 - 15 times their nominal current from the network while reaching their operating speed. This situation causes both the stress of your business network and the mechanical and especially electrical wear of the motors, and their lifetimes are significantly reduced. Soft starters that EAM will recommend to you ensure that your motors start in a controlled manner with low current. The most important advantages of soft starters compared to star-delta starting systems; is that they are much smaller in size and they provide smoother control, especially since they are set suitable for the motors they are driving.
